F.A.Q.

Q: How do I start my order?two grey schnauzer pup statues sit on an oval plaque in a boxed frame photograph. One dog's ears are perked as though listening for his masters voice

The first step is to email me (image uploading coming soon) pictures of your pet (see below for suggestions) and pay for your sculpture, which I will invoice you for via Paypal. Once I receive confirmation of your payment and pictures, we’ll get started.

Q: How long does it take for you to complete a sculpture of my pet?

This varies from 2 weeks in spring/summer to 3 weeks closer to fall and holidays.

Q: What size are the sculptures?

A: This is a hard one because it has almost always depended on what is wanted…I say about the length of a Coke can for a medium dog lying down; about six inches in height etc. And of course, the life size for pets not over 16″ in length or height.

Q: Can you do specialized bases, such as grass, dog bed or outdoor scene?

A: Yes, I can provide any look you desire. Some complex scenes may require additional costs. Please contact me with specifics.

Q: Are gift certificates available?

A: Yes, we can provide you with a personalized gift certificate. Please contact me with specifics.

Q: What are your pieces made of?

A: Polymer clay, which enables me to get very detailed, plus it is extremely durable.

Q: Can a full size piece stay outside?

A: Yes, however, some protection from all day sun is recommended by the clay company, for example, consider placing your statue under a tree etc. to prevent the paint from fading.

Q: Can more than one pet go on a single base?

A: Yes, any combination of pets is available.

Q: Does it help you to meet the pet?

A: Honestly, no it doesn’t. The image I follow is through the pictures sent. A pet is often not in its typical state when meeting someone unfamiliar.

Q: Are photos mailed returned with the order?statue of a black and grey puggle with a bright blue collar

A: Yes, and great care is taken to protect them while I work – they’re placed in a protective plastic sleeve.

Q: What type of photo produces the best result?

A: The best possible results are with photos taken at eye level with the animal. Otherwise their proportions are off.

Q: What if my pet is deceased and I can’t get an eye level photo?

A: I will work with the photos you have, and I always communicate if I have questions or concerns.

Q: Do you sell/ship your work outside of the United States?

A: Yes! I have sent sculptures all over the world. Please contact me for payment and shipping details.

Q: What type of bases are available for my completed sculpture?

A: I offer round, oval, rectangular and square bases as standard stock items. Custom bases are also available.

Q: Can I add a name-plate or details to my sculpture?

A: Yes, we offer the option to affix an engraved brass plate to the base of your sculpture. Prices begin at $20 plus .26 per letter engraved.

Q: How many photos should I plan to send you?

A: I suggest you provide between 2-8 images taken at eye level for the best possible likeness.

Q: What if my sculpture arrives damaged?

A: In the unlikely event of breakage during transit, your sculpture is insured. It will be either repaired or replaced, and re-shipped at no additional cost.
